Bran Castle is built on a cliff at a key strategic point of view and is currently home to the Bran Museum. The museum exhibits ceramic, furniture, weapons and armor collections, and in the courtyard of the castle there is also the Village Museum with traditional houses.

The architectural styles in the city center range from the pre-Romanesque (Brasov Citadel) to the Romanesque (St. Bartholomew's Church), the Gothic (Black Church), the Renaissance (the Gate of Ecaterina), today less noticeable due to renovations, the interior of the House of the Council and many other interesting styles to explore.
